You might not be interested in the word, “fan,” so much, but I am. I introduced three different fans in my previous blogs. They are an electric fan, a folding fan, and a fan (such as a sports fan). The first two words are related to air, but the third one? Therefore, I looked up the origin of the word, fun. The first two’s origin is the same: wind or to blow. However, the third one is believed to be a shorten word for fanatic: a crazy person! That makes sense. There are some sports fans fight after a game. Some devoted fans of idle groups have made headlines getting arrested.
